Kasese District Youth Focus on AIDS (KADYFA)
“Meaningful participation leads to relevant and sustainable development.”
Since 2001, KADYFA has worked alongside young people and families across Kasese District — through health, rights, skills, and land — built on the belief that lasting change starts with the people it’s meant to serve.

Rooted in Kasese since 2001
KADYFA is a legally registered community-based organization with more than 20 years of experience delivering health, education, livelihoods, and environmental programs to young people across Kasese District and the three divisions of Kasese Municipality.
We have worked alongside partners including UNICEF, Save the Children, and the Uganda AIDS Commission — always through participatory planning that puts the community, especially the poorest, at the center of the response.

The gap we work in
Kasese District sits at the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains, home to hundreds of villages and a young, fast-growing population. Our own fieldwork and needs assessments over the years have pointed to the same gaps again and again: limited access to youth-friendly health services, low awareness of reproductive health and rights, and communities whose land and livelihoods are under real pressure.
Those findings, drawn from specific studies at specific times, are what shape where we put our work. The detail behind each one is on our What We Do page.
Our areas of work
Health & Rights

Livelihoods & Land
Vocational skills, agriculture, and environmental protection that build income and protect the Rwenzori landscape.

Children & Youth
Care and support for orphans and other vulnerable children, from staying in school to building a livelihood.
